The Passion of the Christ

The last twelve hours in the life of Jesus of Nazareth - agonizing hours that begin with his arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane. First there is the betrayal by his disciple Judas Iscariot; this is followed by the difficult judgment, the death sentence pronounced by the Roman governor Pontius Pilate, his ordeal from Jerusalem to Mount Golgotha and the final crucifixion. In between: the temptation of Satan, the consolation of the mother. Then, finally: redemption by God the Father.
