Homosexual nightclub owner Armand and drag queen Albert have been a well-rehearsed couple for 20 years. When "their" son announces his wedding plans, all hell breaks loose. His chosen one is, of all people, the daughter of an ultra-conservative senator who is currently embroiled in a scandal himself. By hook or by crook, the two gays now try to create the impression of a completely normal family...
Armand and Albert are a happy couple. They earn their living as transvestite artists in the "Birdcage" amusement club. Then Armand's missing son Val suddenly turns up and announces that he wants to marry the daughter of the arch-conservative senator Keeley. But that's not all. Val's future in-laws are already on their way to meet their future relatives. And nothing would shock them more than a gay love nest full of shrill birds...
Armand and Albert's intimate togetherness is disturbed when the son of one of them wants to marry the daughter of a conservative politician who has to be pretend...
