Based on the bestseller by Isabella Tree, this impressive nature film tells the story of the young couple Isabella Tree and Charlie Burrell, who inherit the Knepp estate in southern England in the 1980s - a run-down, 400-year-old property. At the end of the 1990s, they have to face facts: The farm is not profitable and they are 1.5 million pounds in debt. The land lies fallow, the soil is barren and biodiversity is dwindling. Isabella and Charlie fight against entrenched traditions and dare to put the fate of their farm in the hands of nature and start an ambitious renaturation project inspired by European ecologists such as Frans Vera.
