Romy Miller (Nicole Kidman) is the founder and CEO of a company that is just taking off on the stock market. In her private life, she is happily married to a renowned theater director (Antonio Banderas) and the mother of two daughters. Among the new interns at Romy's company is Samuel (Harris Dickinson), who confidently defies all the rules, challenges Romy's dominance and ignites repressed passions in her. They begin an affair that soon breaks all boundaries. Romy can no longer go back, increasingly loses control and puts everything at risk.
