Winner of the 1977 Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Screenplay (Genre: Comedy).
"Likeable, albeit simply constructed film about the rivalry and friendship of young athletes. Not always comprehensible in this country due to a lack of knowledge of baseball rules." (Dictionary of International Film)
