One day, "Avon" consultant Peg decides to try her luck selling in a castle high above a well-kept American terraced housing estate. In the old walls she finds Edward, a completely frightened teenager who has never sought the company of humans - for good reason, because his hands are scissors with razor-sharp blades. Peg lovingly takes him into her family. After the initial enthusiasm for the scissor-wielding outsider, serious socialization problems begin, which eventually drive Edward back into the isolation of his castle. But the love of Peg's daughter accompanies him.
Edward, a touching man of art, tries to fit into life in the suburbs, but fails because of people's heartlessness. An enchanting fairy tale full of visual extravagance.
