Henry Angst

A movie about love that begins with defeat. After Henry Angst becomes aware of his life while reading out a farewell letter that promises an unspeakably cheerful death, he leaves his job and his wife. He goes to the hotel and decides which path he will now take.

Henry Angst receives a farewell letter that promises an unspeakably cheerful death and calls his previous life into question. As a result, he leaves his wife and gives up his job. In a hotel room, he plays heads and tails and chooses the random path. The next day he meets Rita, a young woman whose contradictory nature attracts him.
Henry remains realistic. Rita knows no boundaries. Together they try to get a grip on her paradoxical behavior. To be or to be alone is not a question for them. Rita leaves her husband and drives aimlessly to the seaside with Henry, heading for their last adventure.
They agree that a lack of distance cancels out love and at the same time prevents a story about love from ending on the floor or in bed.
