Martin Scorsese, with his favorite actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, tells the harrowing true story of a series of murders in 1920s Osage country.
In the early 20th century, petroleum brought great wealth to the Osage Nation and they became one of the wealthiest peoples in the world overnight. The prosperity of these Native Americans immediately attracted white invaders who manipulated and blackmailed the people, stealing as much money from the Osage as they could - until they even resorted to murder. Against this backdrop, "Killers of the Flower Moon" uses the unlikely love between Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone) to tell an epic Western crime saga in which true love and an unfathomable betrayal collide. Robert De Niro and Jesse Plemons are featured in other roles. "Killers of the Flower Moon" is directed by Oscar winner Martin Scorsese, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Eric Roth. The film is based on the bestseller of the same name by David Grann.
