Talented literature student Cairo Sweet (Jenna Ortega) is ambitious and strong-willed. Her professor Jonathan Miller (Martin Freeman) sees her creative potential - and not only that: Cairo is very different from the other students and exerts a mysterious attraction on him that he finds hard to resist.
