Nausicaä - Princess of the Valley of Winds

A devastating war has turned the Earth into a desolate wasteland, on which a fungal forest is spreading whose spores are highly toxic to humans. One of the few remaining civilizations lives in the Valley of the Winds, whose natural updrafts prevent poisonous fungal spores from reaching it. Nausicaä is the princess of this people and she possesses the rare gift of understanding the feelings and thoughts of animals as well as communicating with the strange flora and fauna. When another people tries to conquer the valley, Nausicaä is the last hope: in an effort to achieve peaceful coexistence, Nausicaä fights desperately with all the means at her disposal and thus becomes the ambassador of an ancient prophecy.
