On a Saturday afternoon in June 2017, Reality Winner, a 25-year-old linguist, is visited by the FBI at her home in Georgia. A cryptic conversation begins and only slowly does it become clear what the officers want from Reality: she is said to have passed on information about Russian interference in the US elections to a newspaper.
