Rosalie

France, end of the 19th century: Rosalie (Nadia Tereszkiewicz) is young, beautiful and kind. But since her childhood she has kept a special secret: Rosalie was born with a hairy face and body. She is forced to shave regularly to avoid attracting attention and to preserve her chances of marriage.
Her future husband Abel (Benoît Magimel), a good-natured, indebted innkeeper who only marries her on the basis of her dowry, has no idea of her secret. But Rosalie's differences cannot be hidden in the marriage. And the debts soon return. Rosalie then has a business idea: by growing her beard, she wants to finally free herself from the constraints of society and make a profit from her difference and people's curiosity in order to save the inn. She no longer wants to hide, but wants to be accepted as the woman she really is. Will Abel also be able to show Rosalie the respect and love she deserves?
