Thrilling drama about the attack at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich - told from the perspective of a team of US journalists
September 5, 1972: The longest broadcast in television history in front of the largest television audience of all time. The sports team of the US channel ABC at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich hears gunshots in the Israeli quarters at 4:40 in the morning. A Palestinian group has taken eleven Israeli athletes hostage. Against the resistance of the news department, the ABC sports team takes over the live report via satellite of the 22-hour hostage-taking, which overwhelms the police and politicians and ends with the death of all the hostages at Fürstenfeldbruck airfield.
