Twenty-five years after ecological collapse has made the earth uninhabitable, mother, father and son live in their palatial bunker. With the help of everyday rituals, they try to maintain hope and a sense of normality - until the arrival of an unknown girl turns their perfect world upside down. Son, a bona fide twenty-something who has never seen anything of the outside world, is fascinated by the stranger, and suddenly cracks appear in the naïve optimism that has held the wealthy clan together until now. As tensions rise, the apparent idyll begins to crumble, and long-suppressed feelings of remorse and resentment threaten to destroy the family's delicate balance. But the confrontation with difficult truths also points to a different path into the future, one based on acceptance, love and the ability to change.
