Millie and Tim have been a couple for many years. When they move from New York to a remote house in the countryside, they leave everything familiar behind - except each other. While exploring the surrounding forest, they are surprised by a storm and have to spend the night in a spooky cave. The next morning, they notice the first disturbing changes in themselves. In a panic, the two try to stop the transformation, as the physical process of change not only affects their bodies, but becomes a nightmare that threatens their entire existence.
