Dying is not for cowards - but neither is life. A warm-hearted comedy about friendship and the courage to start again and again.
Helene (Christine Ostermayer), a once celebrated theater diva, lives in seclusion in a retirement home. At well over 80 and diagnosed with a terminal illness, she has already organized an appointment at a hospice. The only problem is getting there, as Madame can no longer drive her Jaguar herself. Her nephew (Manuel Rubey) refuses any help as a chauffeur for the last journey, as a conservative politician he has to look after his career. Instead, fate unexpectedly brings Toni (Margarethe Tiesel) into the picture. The prudent bon vivant has to recover temporarily in this very residence after a fall. The initial dislike between the two involuntary roommates slowly gives way to a pretty good friendship and soon the unlikely duo are sitting in a stately vintage car and driving towards Switzerland...
